Hi! I'm Jackson. Welcome to the homepage, and a bit about me. This website serves as my professional portfolio. I've just entered the teaching workforce here in the TDSB, having recently completed my Master of Teaching degree at OISE, University of Toronto.

Before that, I've been able to do some other pretty awesome stuff too. From being born and raised in Hong Kong to Newfoundlander parents, to touring the world performing sold out shows in major theatres, it's been a great ride already. Feel free to explore this site to learn more... and thanks for stopping by :)
Me at work! Guiding groups through Gros Morne National Park, on the west coast of Newfoundland. I like to think of education as an invitation to go on a journey together, an adventure. So let's go!

I am a skilled educator, performer and creator. My undergraduate was done at Dalhousie University, where I obtained a combined honours degree in Theatre (Acting) & Environment, Sustainability & Society, with a minor in Chinese Studies. This really speaks to a lot of who I am. My upbringing in Asia, my passion for getting into, enjoying and protecting the natural world, and my talent and love for Theatre were all explored, nurtured and developed further there.

A powerful and simple activity often utilized in education is to have students write a poem about who they are and their background, inspired by George Ella Lyon's Poem Where I'm From. May it help you get to know me better...

I love being outdoors. I love having fun. I love new experiences. I love my friends & family!

Riverdale Rink, all to myself!!! One of the Health & Phys Ed tasks I assigned my students during my virtual teaching practicum was to simply take a picture of themselves enjoying doing something, anything, outside. This was one of the pics from that class album.
Taken during my stellar time working at Tawingo Outdoor Centre, in Muskoka, as a Program Coordinator & Instructor.

PS: I wouldn't be much of a guide if I didn't give you some Navigation Tips! I hope the site and it's tabs are intuitive enough to be used with ease. My Resume can be found under More +. You are currently on the homepage, and can return here by simply clicking on my name upper left, or Home: About Me.
